Finish out the year hard!

I know it’s tough with all the christmas planning and parties to attend, but keep doing your workouts. Try to get in 4 days a week (3 minimum). You might be getting sick of these circuits and have stopped doing them all together. Go back and do them again for 2 weeks straight. I will give you something new for the new year. You’ll love it! Although my body is not where I want it to be, I have to say, I haven’t felt the slightest bit of guilt for eating those holiday treats at the parties I’ve attended. I worked hard this past year and got off a lot of weight. I eat clean in my home during the week. I think when you can get your body to a healthy semi-lean place, it’s okay to indulge every now and then and not feel guilty about it. If you’re not there yet, I would say indulge, but indulge less. Then I would say now lay off bread, grains, sugar & dairy for the rest of the week. Eat protein and veggies. Lots of veggies.

Now I am going to share with you my go-to quick 3 day weight loss. I do this around the holidays when I feel I have put on a couple of pounds that I want off quickly. This is the Military Diet. It is used in the Military to get the soldiers in quick shape. I lose about 3 pounds. Friends and family I’ve talked to lose about the same, but others have reported losing up to 7 lbs.
Here it is!

3 Day Military Diet Quick Weight Loss

Day 1:
Breakfast: 1/2 cup of grapefruit, 1 slice of toast, 2 tablespoons of peanut butter, coffee or tea
lunch: 1/2 cup of tuna, 1 slice of toast, coffee or tea ( caffeinated)- (I drink Pero with a bit of creamer)
Dinner: 3 ounces of meat ( any kind) , 1 cup of green beans, 1/2 of banana, 1 small apple, and 1 cup of vanilla ice cream.
If plain tuna isn’t your thing, add some montreal steak seasoning to it!
Day 2:
Breakfast: 1 egg, 1 slice of toast, and 1/2 banana
Lunch: 1 ounce of cheddar cheese, hard boiled egg, and 5 saltine crackers.
Dinner: 3 ounces of meat, 1 cup of broccoli, 1/2 cup carrots, 1/2 banana and 1/2 cup of vanilla ice cream.
Day 3:
Breakfast: 5 saltine crackers, 1 slice of cheddar cheese and a small apple
Lunch: hard boiled egg, and a slice of toast
Dinner: 1 cup of tuna, 1/2 of a banana and i cup of vanilla ice cream
( You can add some salt and pepper to eggs and meat) After 3 days you go back to normal eating. ( I recommend eating healthy or you can gain weight back).
Then u can repeat this diet after 4 days (for a full week, 7 days total) and continue until you reach your goal weight.

This is not an easy diet to follow! In fact, I called it “The Hunger Games” diet because I was so hungry by day 3. But I found that keeping myself really busy those days took my mind off food. I also drank a ton of water which I highly encourage anyway. Chew gum too. That will help. But do not cheat! It’s only 3 days! I can’t do a diet that is longer than a week. I just can’t. I also don’t consider the Paleo diet a diet. I live that lifestyle most of the time and find it extremely beneficial to my health. If you don’t want to eat ice-cream, do this: Put two banana’s (peeled) in the freezer for 3 hours. Put those bananas in your blender on a low to medium speed (low worked best for me in my vitamix) scraping sides occasionally for a couple of minutes. The bananas turn into this wonderful cream. I love the flavor of it and I am not a banana fan. Much healthier than ice-cream, but you are allowed ice-cream on this diet. And if you don’t want to eat saltines for gluten reasons, buy yourself some rice crackers or other alternatives.
It’s 3 days! that’s it. Don’t cheat. Start on a Monday so you have your weekend free.

Good luck!
