My groups walk away with a firm knowlege of which foods are good and which foods are harmful to their bodies.
I base my nutrition information off of the "My Plate" template with a smooth transition into the "Integrative Nutrition Plate". It is very helpful for people to see what area's of their lives could use improvements. I follow the theory that everyone's diet will look a bit different. We call this bio-individuality. What works for one, may not work for another. This template helps me easily explain that all diets could fall into a healthy plate like this one!
